ABOUT ME
.jpg)
There were many things I wanted to be growing up, but by the time I applied to University, I had decided I wanted to be a research chemist, so I could discover a cure for cancer (obviously).
Unfortunately, what I actually discovered was that I was really bad at working in a lab (like, dangerously bad).
So, for the sake of everyone's safety (including my own), I decided to dedicate my career to talking about science instead - first, as a secondary school teacher, and now as a science producer and author.
I hope I can inspire other people to go and discover cures and do all the other wonderful things that scientists do, while not being left in charge of any potentially explosive chemicals!
Take a look at some of the things I've worked on...

Books
Children's Non-Fiction Author
My first* non-fiction book for children, Elements of the Day, will be released in June 2025. Aimed at age 7+, it introduces the Periodic Table and steps through a typical day to highlight all the elements we interact with.
PRE-ORDER NOW! It'll make a great gift for any budding scientists in your life.
I'm currently working on my second book and I'll share more about it here soon.
If you're interested in arranging a school visit, please click here to find out more.
If you'd like to commission me to write something, please contact my lovely literary agent, Maddy Belton (from Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency).
Other Writing
In 2020, I was shortlisted for the M6 Theatre monologue competition, Love in the Time of Corona. Read my script.
*Strictly speaking, it's my second non-fiction book. I wrote my first one - Rabbits - when I was six. Sadly, it remains unpublished, but you can see a sample of it here.
